In the past few months, I’ve seen a thousand different must-have AI tools, agents, and legacy tech brands trying to freshen up their offerings to compete with the growing trends of today’s world. I’ve tested a few out myself, as my job is to literally stay up to date and live inside this bubble of ever-changing tech. Older companies are hesitant to make changes, while startups and bedroom TikTok businesses are being built faster than ever. With better marketing and professional-looking digital storefronts, the race is on. People are finding success with how easy these tools have made it to produce what looks like a business or brand to just produce as many as they can and see what sticks. 

Can you blame them? We are in a renaissance of tech accessibility. “Vibe coding” has allowed just about everyone to make the next must-have app. There is a lot of success, and while we don’t know how long things will remain this way, it doesn’t hurt to try. 

Well, there should be a bit of a disclaimer. There is already a wall of shame for vibe-coded projects (Check out Vibe Graveyard). Being sued because you created a beautiful working app on paper while also having all your customers’ personal data out for the world to see isn’t my idea of a good time. 

There seems to be two boats: the businesses not utilizing the right tech tools and sticking to the same systems that have worked for decades, or newer businesses jumping into a world they don’t fully understand using AI tools to produce something that looks legit until it all comes crashing down. 

At the end of the day, businesses need practical systems to run, and people who know what they are doing to design those systems and keep the machine going.
